Research suggests that, among other things, what differentiates humans from the rest of the animals on this planet is our ability to tell stories and our tendency to actively seek out new and interesting tales. The research article went on to suggest that without stories, humans would have evolved very differently.
I love telling stories and over the years I've started many classes with a selection from among some of my own experiences. I've told stories about my family, I've told stories about turkeys, I've told stories about how I once dated a girl in a cult, and I've told stories that have challenged my notions of myself.
This blog will feature a number of these stories based on my own perspectives and experiences. Some may be funny, some may be sad, some may challenge your sense of self, and some may alter your perception of me (hopefully for the better).
